At our recent AGM and Christmas Party our Chairman, Adam Phillips, presented the key findings of the Membership Survey conducted in the autumn of 2016. 

Nearly 50 members and at least one guest attended this year’s Christmas Drinks and AGM at More London Place on Tuesday 6th December.

At the Christmas Party and AGM, Frank Winter reported that this has been Year of real progress with the Oral History Project.  There are now 16 interviews on the MRS Website, with the recent additions of: John Samuels, Bob Worcester, Nick Phillips and Pam Edwards.

At the Annual Meeting last year the Network launched an appeal to raise £3,000 to make it possible to continue the Oral History project.

For our Autumn Lunch on 18th October we returned to a favourite venue, Azzurro at Waterloo…

The two leading market research associations in the USA have agreed to merge.

Summer returned to London just in time for the Network Summer Party on 6th July.

Speaking at the Network Summer Party, Adam Phillips said that the fund raising for the Oral History Project launched at last year’s general meeting had been successful.

The Archive of Market and Social Research was accorded charitable status in May and is now in a position to start communicating its unique purpose more widely.  It has begun to assemble and catalogue material and has embarked on a second round of fund raising.

At the recent MRS Excellence Awards Lunch, three Research Network Members, Raz Kahn, Richard Silman and Daniel Wain received their MRS Fellowships, which were announced earlier this year.

This year’s Spring Lunch was held on Tuesday 12th April in the light and airy surroundings of Smith’s Bar & Grill in Paddington. 

At our recent Spring Lunch, Adam Phillips reported that:  “The Oral History project is progressing well. 

The final report of the independent Inquiry commissioned by MRS and the British Polling Council (BPC) to examine the performance of the 2015 General Election opinion polls has now been published.

The first ever MRBA ‘Helping Researchers in Need’ Fundraising Week has been an amazing success,
