Network Summer Party

The Research Network celebrated the great British summer on 2nd July, and the seasonal weather (overcast skies and showers) did nothing to dampen members’ enthusiasm for a party.

The event was held as usual at Doggett’s Coat & Badge at the southern end of Blackfriars Bridge, with a terrace overlooking the river and St Paul’s. The bar has recently been very agreeably refurbished and the cold buffet lunch was, if anything, better than ever. Some 70 members and guests were present – a record attendance.

Thanks are due not only to the Doggett’s manager and staff but also to Jane Bain and Jane Gwilliam, who organise the Network’s social events. Jane B also performed the role of official photographer with her usual skill: a selection of images from the party can be found here.
