Autumn Lunch a great success

We were delighted to welcome over 80 members and guests to Brasserie Blanc in Waterloo for our Autumn Lunch on Tuesday 17th October. This is a record attendance figure for recent years and reflects the terrific work put in by Jane A’Court and the Research Network champions to recruit new members.

The menu – cheese soufflé, steak frites and sticky toffee pudding was excellent, and complemented by a Picpoul and a Malbec, both of which were delicious. Several members found noise levels in the room difficult, but the noise was all generated by the animated conversations of those attending and so to some extent reflects the success of the event. The organisers are aware of the issue and plans for next year involve larger spaces and higher ceilings!
